The app runs an exact classical solver. Its interactive quantum lane is a transparent workflow simulation; the separate reproducible Aer experiment uses a genuine 16-qubit circuit and 4,096 measured shots. Map disruptions remain curated demo records.

How to test this app

Why a disruption engine?

Normal shortest routes can become unsafe or expensive when weather, closures, or capacity constraints change the network. The engine changes affected route costs, solves again, and verifies the answer before recommending it.

What data is real?

A committed NOAA fixture contains 168 historical Schiphol observations with source and SHA-256 provenance. It proves the data pipeline, but does not yet drive the curated map scenario.

Simple test

Keep AMS, FRA, DXB, and SIN selected.
Leave Quantum solver and Self-healing on.
Click Optimize and verify mission.
Compare the green Classical solver with the blue Quantum solver, then inspect the Depthmetric Aviation checks.
Turn Self-healing off and run again to see the unmodified comparison.

Classical: checks every hub order and is the operational authority. Quantum: tests the same cost matrix as a research comparison. Its demonstrated value here is independent evidence and a route to studying harder problems, not a proven speed-up.
